Sequestrum publishes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual arts on a rolling basis.
The best way to familiarize yourself with our tastes is to read what we’ve published. Sequestrum offers pay-what-you-can subscriptions, where as little as $2.50 gets you access to everything we’ve published and allows you to make free submissions.

General Sequestrum policies are here. We update submission status using the email address provided and may provide other updates regarding deadlines, journal updates, etc. Please note that Submittable uses its own privacy policy. Many literary journals use Submittable to process submissions, but we always recommend you review privacy policies as needed.
Please identify your work as fiction or nonfiction in your cover letter.
Submissions should generally not exceed 10,000 words. If you have a great piece which you think is a good fit and exceeds these guidelines, send it. Simultaneous submissions accepted. Include a brief bio in your cover letter to be used as a contributor bio in the event of publication. Your name should not appear anywhere on your manuscript. No previously-published material.

Prose Guidelines:

- Subscribers are allowed one free submission pending at any given time, across all genres. We will notify you once we have reached a decision on your work via Submittable. By submitting only your best, most polished work, writers help ensure our response times remain reasonable.
- Submissions will be considered for general or themed publication at our usual paying rates.
- Below the cover letter, enter the email/login name associated with your membership so we can to confirm status as a current subscriber.
- All submissions must follow our general guidelines.
